Pizza, good food and entertainment at The Space, the Pizza and Food Village at Torre del Greco!
From 1 to 10 July 2016 the event will take place "The Space ... The Village Pizza and Food" on the panoramic seafront of Greek's tower. It is about largest open-air pizzeria in Campania.
Considering the success of the previous editions, this year a new location was chosen and they extended the theme of the event not only to pizza but to food in general, with particular reference to the products of the Campania and Italian gastronomic culture, which has a rich heritage of food and wine excellences and quality.
The newness
Not only pizza will be the protagonist of the event, but all the excellences of Campania. In via Litoranea there will be nine wood-burning ovens and Car BQ, that is, the self-BBQ which for the first time will arrive in the region. They are vintage vehicles transformed into barbecues and there will be corners reserved for delicious "street style" food. Also, areas for shows and the interactive pizza museum and a big one playground for children and teenagers.
There will be many new things to discover, like it space dedicated to the American Barbecue, with its succulent dishes of meat cooked in the CarBQ: vintage vehicles turned into barbecues and corners reserved for delicious "street style" food.
Thanks to the participation of famous pizza chefs and starred chefs we will be able to attend tastings, cooking classes, creative cooking workshops and workshops for children. Also you can visit the Interactive Museum of Pizza, where there will be sensory paths and ample material on the world of pizza.
They will not fail music, dj set and cabaret.
In the area of "Casa Rossopomodoro for Unicef" there will be cooking and pizza lessons every evening with leading chefs and pizza makers, including Gino Sorbillo, Stefano Callegaro, Paolo Gramaglia, Antonio Sorrentino and Enzo De Angelis. The proceeds will be donated to Unicef projects against malnutrition in the world.
The thematic areas
The areas will be divided into different themes. In each area there will be bars, pastry shops and ticket offices. They are the following:
- Pizza area, for pizza lovers
- Barbecue area, for fans of grilled meat
- Street food area, for the gluttons of street food
- Traditional kitchen area, for all the nostalgics of home cooking.
