An initiative organized by the Municipality and by Aicast which will take place in Nola starting from Friday 11 November until Tuesday 15 November 2022 in Piazza Duomo. Nougat in Festa it will obviously focus on the main product of the event, but not only. Banquets and stands will exhibit various local excellences of taste on the occasion of "San Felice", the patron saint of the city. The stands will welcome visitors from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 17.00 to 23.00.
Activities for San Felice, the patron saint
The activities that invade Piazza Duomo di Nola also include WORKSHOPS, showcooking to attend, artists and animation. All this, as we have already said, to celebrate the patron saint.
But do you know the history of the latter? He is remembered as the first Bishop of the city. The young Felix, who lived in the middle of the first century after Christ, was to follow his strong faith persecuted by the emperor Diocletian. Despite the torture, such as challenging the lions in the arena, he was able to escape unscathed, but eventually died by beheading. On November 15 we meet for the famous "miracle of manna" to have the protection of the Saint. The miracle lies in the release of a whitish liquid (called manna) from the cannula of a tabernacle somehow connected to the tomb of the Saint.
