Focus on Leonardo Da Vinci in the new reinterpretation of the “Una Mostra Impossible” event. Until 10 October 2014

After the incredible public success achieved since last December (more than eighty thousand visitors), the Convent of San Domenico Maggiore will host a review of the event An impossible exhibition. In a new "guise" that will welcome those who have not yet had the opportunity to visit it but also those who have already admired the 117 paintings and frescoes of the art of all times made by Leonardo, Raffaello and Caravaggio reproduced on backlit panels in real size.

It will continue, therefore, until 10 October 2014, the prodigy of digital technologies at the service of art and culture, in a new project entitled Masterpieces in detail, conceived and directed by Renato Parascandolo, produced and created by the Pietrasanta Polo Culturale Association with the Municipality of Naples and Rai, which will include a series of in-depth evening meetings held by 20 young art historians. The meetings will be dedicated to the three artists, Leonardo, Raffaello and Caravaggio, and to the reconstruction of their biographies through projections of films, fiction and documentaries made by Rai.

Once again the Grand Refectory of the Convent of San Domenico Maggiore will host i 117 masterpieces by Leonardo, Raffaello and Caravaggio reproduced in very high definition and in the smallest details, scrolling on a huge screen (10m x 5m). These paintings will also be illustrated by art historians during the cycle of meetings.

Do not miss the section dedicated to the artistic production of Leonardo Da Vinci, which will be exposed 17 works in real dimensions and high definition. Between being you can admire the first multimedia and interactive version of Last dinner by Leonardo Da Vinci, reproduced on a touch screen that will allow you to go into the details of the work up to observe the cracks in the plaster.

On display too five machines by Leonardo built scrupulously following his designs. “I cantieri di Leonardo” will be a further example of the value that reproduction assumes in the dissemination of artistic, scientific and didactic knowledge.

They are added to the new version of An impossible exhibition also the precious "Salvator Mundi", taken from a lost prototype of Leonardo and painted on wood according to the iconography of the "Blessing Christ", and the beautiful damask dress which covered the body of Isabella of Aragon, originally buried in one of the arches of the church of San Domenico Maggiore.
