Citizens and tourists can visit the extraordinary Roman Theater of Neapolis for free!

The next 26 June 2015, the extraordinary Roman Theater of Neapolis, will open for free the doors to citizens and tourists for an exceptional one guided tour.

The cultural journey, organized by the Archaeological Superintendence of Campania and the Municipality of Naples, will transport visitors to the excavation and restoration site site below and between the palaces of the historic heart of Naples.

Thanks to the guidance of the archaeologists of the Societies Samoa Restauri srl and Apoikia srl, it will be possible to know the extraordinary remains of thehuge theater, able to hold around 5000 people, thus winning a place in the list of medium-large theaters of the Campania region.

Among the excavations, still in progress, it will be possible to admire corridors, service rooms, stairs to access the stands, the areas destined to host important characters and the exceptional white stairs placed outside the ancient structure.

Furthermore, the guided tour 10 July 2015 will be replicated to give everyone the chance to admire one of the most prestigious treasures of the city, symbol of an era rich in history, culture and art that make Naples a unique city in the world.
