The evocative night-time guided tours of the Pompeii Sanctuary are back!
The 17 and the 18 in June and the 15 and the 16 in July 2016, in the Shrine of Pompeii returns the fourth edition of "One night ... at the Sanctuary!".
In these special dates suggestive events will be organized guided night tours that will show visitors the religious and historical-artistic aspects of this wonderful place of worship founded by Bartolo Longo and realized thanks to the offerings of the faithful.
The tour will be also in English for foreign tourists and includes a visit to the "Bartolo Longo" Chapel, the "Samuel" Chapel, the Basilica, the Offers Hall, where some ex-voto objects of the exhibition "Per Grazia Ricevuta" (set up at the Antiquarium of the Archaeological Excavations), of the Crypt , the Giardino dei Santi Pellegrini and the Campanile.
To be made by Cicero will be the young people who have joined the "Volunteers of the Jubilee" initiative. At the end of the route it will be offer of the thirst-quenching watermelon as was the tradition of Blessed Bartolo Longo with the orphans.
Saturday 16 July, the visit will be dedicated in particular to the Basilica and the monumental organ.
We also remember that the Pompeii excavations ed Herculaneum are open at night with ticket to 2 euro.
