The excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum return to amaze visitors with the night opening and with an entrance ticket for only 2 euros!

From 7 May 2016 at1 October 2016, every Saturday, Ruins of Pompeii ed Herculaneum will open at night and with a ticket at the special price of 2 €! The evening visits are part of an enhancement project promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism in agreement with the Soprintendenza Pompeii.

The path in the Ruins of Pompeii is enriched by the visit to the Antiquarium, reopened definitively today after 36 years and will see wonderful multimedia projections on the history of these fantastic places and the life that led to it. Continue along Viale delle Ginestre, passing through the Quadriportico up to the spectacular Teatro Grande, where there will be other nocturnal multimedia installations.

At the Excavations of Herculaneum you can participate in the night visit, admiring the spectacular marine finds and the ancient boat found on the beach of Herculaneum placed in Pavilion of the Boat. Continue to the Fornici area and end the visit to the Nonio Balbio terrace, overlooking the sea.

Il 21st May, on the occasion of the "European Night of Museums", the visit will cost only one euro and you can attend the temporary exhibition "Egypt-Pompei"And the exhibition" Myth and Nature ".

Recall that also a Paestum there are extraordinary and free openings , Royal Palace of Caserta will be open on Saturday evening and that the Pompeii sanctuary provides night visits.

Finally, with the initiative Le Notti di Plinio, there will be visits and night shows in Ercolano.
