Monday June 20 2022, in the context of Wine & TheCity which has resumed this year with a new edition, there will be an event exclusive very interesting.

It is a dinner prepared by the starred chef Marianna Vitale of the SUD restaurant which is located in Quarto, in the province of Napoli, and which has been awarded 1 Michelin star for many years. The dinner will take place inAquarium of the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station, in the Villa Comunale of Naples, the first aquarium open to the public in Italy in 1874 and also the oldest in Europe.

The exclusive dinner, therefore, will have the touch of this talented chef and can only be served to 90 guests who will book the evening.

The suggestive location of the dinner

The rooms of the Aquarium will be the backdrop to this beautiful initiative and the guests will be surrounded by historic pools which for almost two centuries have been used by researchers to spread the knowledge of the underwater world and study the biodiversity present in our Gulf and throughout the Mediterranean.

Two imperial tables will be prepared and diners will be able to admire the Posidonia, the corals, the murenario, the sea ​​caves where marine animals, sea horses, octopuses and many tropical fish swim.

Marianna Vitale's menu, a sensory journey

In this particular location, you can taste Marianna Vitale's menu through a journey that is not only gastronomic, but also sensorial.

The chef will not forget the sustainability and the products used have also been carefully chosen in this sense. Antico Panificio Antonio Rescigno will prepare a special seaweed sandwich and of wines will be from the San Salvatore 1988 organic farm in Giungano, in the Cilento National Park.

Here are some previews on the menu:

  • ceviche of Naples that is, a carpaccio of mullet, sea lemon, Santa Croce peas and onion mustard;
  • the first dish will be the blue ramen, Mediterranean version of the famous oriental broth with tagliolini, courgettes and blue fish.

There is the support of the Garofalo and Pecorella Marmi pasta factories, which have been working quality marble and granite since 1957.
