Do not miss the Chinese New Year celebrations in Naples. An unmissable event, full of shows and color
Il Chinese New Year is undoubtedly the most important annual holiday in China and for this reason this year you cannot miss the Chinese New Year at Napoli.
The Chinese calendar is based on the lunar cycles and in 2019 the Chinese New Year will fall on February 5th. Precisely for this reason we will celebrate the arrival of the new on 4 February at 17, when Beijing will be midnight, a Piazza del Gesù Nuovo, in Naples. The Chinese New Year, in fact, corresponds to the time of the year when families get together and offerings are made for the deities and ancestors.
It will be an event that will fill the historic center of the city with shows and color for about four hours. This year the symbol of the Chinese New Year is the "Maiale”With the hope of stability, generosity and altruism. To promote the event is Hi China, a cultural association created with the main purpose of promoting cultural exchanges between China and Italy, improving the mutual knowledge of the two peoples, and encouraging the artistic improvement of its members.
The event will start at 16.30, but at 17.00 we will celebrate the new year, after the countdown, when it will be midnight in Beijing.
Program
On the stage set up for the occasion, after the greetings of the authorities, there will be various performances. All will be accompanied by the instrumental ensemble "Eureka": Mulan choir with the Italian and Chinese anthem. There will also be the school "Zhongyi”Who will do a traditional dance, the singers Jia Wan Ning, Jiang Shan He, Bonura, Orelle, Maria Movchan, Alberto, Francesco De Dominicis, Stefano Coppari e Li Xiu Long who will pay homage to the Neapolitan song by singing 'O sole mio.
In addition, there will be the performance of Tàijíquán, Belly Dance, by theConfucius Institute, then the school Elle Danse and finally theKungfu Academy Hak Fu Jow. Everything will be concluded by the traditional lion dance in Piazza del Gesù.
