The Campania region, with the president, Vincenzo De Luca, has decided to help all citizens in view of expensive energy by issuing a bonus on the water bill with loan of 23 million euros.
In particular, the bonus will be reserved for the managers of the purification plants who will see it in this way increases in energy costs are covered of the water service and to all families of users of the regional integrated water service. The initiative will take effect starting in autumn 2022.
The costs of water
With regard to water tariffs, currently for the Naples aqueduct, Abc, with resolution ARERA 639/2021 / R / IDR of 30 December 2021, the UI3 component is 1,79 euro cents per cubic meter starting from January 1, 2022, while as regards Gori, "the tariff articulation applied is that defined by commissioner resolution no. 40 of 17/07/2018.
Other investments planned
The Campania Region has also allocated funds equal to 30 million euros to finance the maintenance of aqueducts and to reduce the losses of a very precious source. In particular, there will be two main interventions:
- The first will concern the collection and adduction infrastructures, with extraordinary maintenance interventions, all of which will be necessary to improve the service
- The second, on the other hand, aims to activate an indirect measure to contain the costs of managing the system of plants and networks, also due to the rise in prices.
