At Scampia in Naples the 2018 Carnival arrives with the traditional parade for the neighborhood and lots of music and fun for adults and children!
Also this year the appointment with the Carnival of Scampia thanks to the Gridas Association who for years has been working in the area with initiatives of this type that are used to involve as many people as possible for the relaunch of the district of Naples.
The Carnival with the parade will take place on11 February 2018, will be the 36th edition with the participation of schools, associations and individuals. The underlying motivations are always those of creating a link between individuals and the territory, recovering the art of manual skills through workshops, exercising creativity and establishing an even stronger relationship between school and territory.
Scampia Carnival: colorful procession, creativity and social commitment
This year's theme is "MEZZOGIORNO DI FUOCHI who accuses those who are struck and who stuns". The main event is, as always, the procession that starts from the headquarters of Gridas and that will walk the streets of Scampia and anyone can give their contribution of ideas, works, decorations and proposals. The program, however, also includes a series of WORKSHOPS that start from mid-January to give way to everyone to propose all their ideas and realize in time the necessary for the parade.
The chosen theme wants to make a reference to what is theambiguity of fire starting from the sad news in the summer news that saw the spread of numerous fires in Italy, including our Campania. But fire is not only a source of destruction, but also an "engine of civilization" and, metaphorically, fury and passion for those who fight for their land.
