February is the month dedicated to the Carnival party and if again this year you want to spend days full of fun and parades, you cannot miss the Saviano 2019 Carnival in the program 24 February the 3 and the 5 March 2019.
Considered to be among the most beautiful Carnival parties in Italy, the Saviano Carnival will amaze you with allegorical wagons, made of papier-mâché or polystyrene. Among the top ten carnivals in Italy, the Saviano Carnival counts every year over one hundred thousand tourists who go to this beautiful location for the party.
Last 17 January 2019 the traditional happened lighting of the bonfires of Sant'Antonio which marked the real opening of the festival with the historical parade in period costumes The Republic of Masaniello, organized by the Arci Masaniello di Saviano association, in collaboration with the municipal administration, the Pro Loco Il campanile di Saviano and the members of the wagon committees.
Starting from 24 February 2019, however, guaranteed fun for young and old with the official presentation of the allegorical wagons and performances by street artists. Finally, on Sunday 3 March 2019 there will be the first parade of party machines starting at 10:00 and until 24:00. On March 5, 2019, Shrove Tuesday, on the other hand, the last parade of papier-mâché works is scheduled.
