Illness and Mental Health by Giacomo Giorgio

The young Neapolitan actor confessed to suffering from Dorian Gray syndrome, or the fear of growing old and helplessly witnessing the decay of one's body. In an interview given to the portal “Ok Salute e Benessere”, the actor stated that this disease has been afflicting him for some time and makes him particularly anxious.

I was born anxious, a state that my profession has done nothing but amplify, as we actors always live in the balance, in constant expectation of a phone call from a director or a producer. This caused me insomnia and restlessness, like when you drink coffee after coffee and the rhythm of your heart beats faster. Furthermore, growing up, I began to ask myself existential questions and so I discovered that I feared not so much death or suffering, but rather the decay of my body due to age.

Giacomo Giorgio's fear is that of arriving at a certain point in life in which he will no longer be able to do what he loves do in everyday life, such as riding a bicycle, moving a lot or playing the guitar. Basically, the young person fears losing his vitality and no longer being able to do what he likes.

The actor has in fact begun to practice constantly the Kundalini, an "energetic" current of yoga which, in addition to bringing general well-being to the body and psyche, has literally made the difference in his battle against anxiety.

Constant practice allowed him to manage your fears better and to maintain a psychophysical balance which allows him to face the work in a serene way.

His interpretation in Mare Fuori, in the role of Ciro

James George he stepped into the shoes of Cyrus, one of the characters in the series Sea Out. A complex role, but also stimulating. The young man told his fanpage that to interpret this type of characters, compared to the simple ones good, it's more inspiring. And he also talks about the interpretation he wanted to give to the character of Ciro:

When I read a character I imagine all the scenes as they will be and try to surpass everything I imagined. In this case, instead of taking this villain for granted with a more angry, haughty attitude, I had imagined him exactly the opposite: short, a little stooped, meticulous, calculating and with aplomb.
