After decades, even the beautiful Rione Terra di Pozzuoli lights up for Christmas with the "Christmas Magic" event which is making this characteristic village in the municipality in the province of Naples even more evocative.
After 50 years, a Christmas village with illuminations, events, shows and, above all, after a long time the clubs in the narrow streets of the district are also coming alive. In fact, there are many little shops, and also a pizzeria, which have been opened for the holiday season within the Rione Terra, real shops for citizens and tourists.
The Rione Terra comes to life amid lights and shops
As mentioned, the premises that have been closed for decades have now been rented out for the Christmas holidays and we can find different types of activities. There are:
- a dressmaking for Italian clothes and shoes;
- shops of souvenir;
- a pizzeria with internal room;
- un pasta factory craft;
- a pair of bar;
- a place to drink hot chocolate;
- a space to meet Santa Claus.
A beautiful show, however, you can admire more from a distance, outside the Rione Terra: all the houses have been adorned with Christmas lights, so theirs profile is lit from afar giving us a beautiful effect (as you can see from the cover photo).
The House of Santa Claus and many events for children.
Right in front of the ancient Cathedral of Pozzuoli, in the Rione Terra, the House of Santa Claus has been set up where the nice old man is with his sleigh to welcome the children and learn about their wishes. The little ones can confide in him and show him their letter full of gifts to ask for.
There will be other events for children such as baby dance, body painting, the Christmas parade and there will be elves.

From 7 December 2022 to 15 January 2023 – Exhibition “Terra. The sculpture of a landscape”
In Palazzo De Fraja there will be an exhibition that tells us about the archaeological discoveries in the Cuma area made thanks to various Italian and foreign teams. There are exhibits that have never been exhibited to the public before and an innovative itinerary has been set up.
