The best events to spend Christmas 2016 in Naples including exhibitions, visits, concerts, markets and much more!
In the period from 23 to 26 December 2016 in Naples great party for Christmas with extraordinary events. For you there will be some very interesting exhibitions, such as that of Terrae Motus at the Royal Palace of Caserta, that of the photographer Steve McCurry at the PAN and Veermer at the Museo di Capodimonte.
If you want to catapult yourself into a fantasy world choose between Santa's Village at the Parco degli Uccelli, the Christmas Village at the Jumbo1, the Santa Claus Village in Salerno, the Cervino Christmas Park.
The top of the events is great N'Albero installed on the Lungomare, 30 meters high with internal lift. Ice lovers, ivnece, can choose to have fun on the skating ring to the Vulcano Buono or admire the Nativity scene of ice in Piazza Garibaldi.

Show Hidden Treasures
The exhibition of “The Hidden Treasures. Caravaggio, Tino di Camaino, Gemito " edited by Vittorio Sgarbi, was set up in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore at Pietrasanta. The exhibited works belong to private collectors, it is a hundred works including paintings and sculptures that have characterized the last seven hundred years.

Veermer in Capodimonte
One of the works of the Dutch painter Jan Vermeer "The woman with the lute" will be on display at the Capodimonte Museum together with other works in the Pinacoteca that will indicate the close link between Neapolitan and Dutch art of 600. The other exhibited works represent female players.

Cantata of the shepherds
The Cantata dei Pastori will be staged at the Domus Ars center. The concert tells the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem until the birth of Jesus. In the scenes there will be no typical characters of the Neapolitan nativity scene and all those characteristic figures of Christmas stories.

Show Terrae Motus
The "Terrae Motus" exhibition created after the Irpinia earthquake is on display at the Royal Palace of Caserta. It's about a collection of 72 valuable works, between paintings and sculptures, belonging to the gallery owner Lucio Amelio and donated to the Palace after his death. Among the many masterpieces you can admire the three large canvases of "Fate presto" by Andy Warhol.

Show Steve McCurry
The PAN hosts the exhibition of the master of contemporary photography Steve McCurry. The photographs, chosen by the Palace of the Arts, will tell you the history of contemporary man, a narrative that crosses various ethnic groups and cultures and reaches very high levels of pain and empathy.

Video Art in Paestum
Thanks to the artist Alessandra Franco there will be a beautiful video art project at Temple of Neptune in Paestum: stories and stories about the Greek myths will be projected on the façade and on the columns thanks to an evocative videomapping in the evening.

Christmas villages
Santa Claus Village at the Bird Park
The Village of Santa Claus at the Bird Park was set up inside a magical forest. There will be a ranch with horses to do the baptism of the saddle and a diligence that will lead you around the forest, you can also participate in an interactive musical, at the ball with the elves and the biscuit laboratory.

Christmas village at the Jambo1
At Jumbo1 shopping center you can visit the Jambo Christmas Village distributed on two floors. Downstairs, in addition to the Christmas market, there is one space dedicated to childreni with games, themed animation and shows. Upstairs visitors can take part in a sensory journey that will transport them to the North Pole thanks to the sophisticated 3D technologies.

Santa Claus village in Salerno
The Village of Santa Claus is added to the great event of Luci d'Artista in Salerno. It is a village where even objects come to life. The house of Santa Claus is the main attraction of the Village. For children there is a path of 15 minutes which will lead them to the magic cave, to the Santa's elves and reindeer's workshop.

Christmas park in Cervino
In Cervino you can attend the II edition of "Natale e Sapori" the largest Christmas Park in Italy, where the greatest masters of Campania have created spectacular illuminations. There will be exhibitions of nativity scenes, craft markets, street performers, concerts, circus magic, food stands and many Christmas carols.

Music
Indoor Flegrea Arena
Inside the Mostra d'Oltremare will take place many cultural, musical and artistic events in the new Foyer of the Flegrea Arena. A renovated space, a welcoming and elegant environment where you can dance in the special area or remain seated at the table while admiring the show. Friday there will be the performance of the "Cinquetto", a group of 5 orchestra professors from the San Carlo Theater.

Sal Da Vinci at the Augusteo Theater
At the Augusteo Sal Da Vinci Theater he will stage the musical comedy Italian of Naples directed by Alessandro Siani, in which he will tell his stories reflections on the identity of being Neapolitan and Italian through the songs from his latest album entitled "Non si fare prisoneri".

Christmas in Città della Scienza
At Città della Scienza for the Christmas parties were organized workshops, shows, animations and Christmas stories. For the little ones there will be entertainers, jugglers, team games and themed workshops, while the older ones can have fun with optical illusions, participate in tinkering workshops on Christmas robots or Christmas lights.

N'Albero on the waterfront
For Christmas on the Lungomare, "N'albero" has been raised, a tree with multicolored 1.300.000 LED high about 30 meters. Inside the structure contains an elevator that will allow you to reach the various floors where you will find the shopping center, the bistro-coffee area and the restaurant. Around the structure there will be exhibitions, musical performances, installations for children and food and wine events

Nativity scene of ice
In Piazza Garibaldi, near the Hotel Terminus, a large ice crib was built inside a container. A true work of art in which the shepherds are almost life size. The crib was created by the master Fabio Turiello with the collaboration of Artevì.

Circus of soap bubbles
A fantastic show focused on soap bubbles of all sizes and many different shapes will be staged at Galleria Toledo and will make the whole family happy.

Skating rink at Vulcano Buono
In the central square of the Vulcano Buono di Nola, returns to the ice rink and promises to entertain children and adults throughout the holiday season. Like last year, the ice rink will be run by the Ice Mad agency, already winner of the Disney Pista Frozen Award and expert in the field.

Christmas in Sorrento
