The new film about Pompeii, spectacular and full of special effects, will be released February 20 also in the cinemas of Naples

Of films about the eruption of Pompei of 79 AD many were shot, but the one that will be released tomorrow February 20 will be the most spectacular. Simply titled "Pompeii", it will also be released in the cinemas of Naples, as happened for the docu-film about everyday life in the town, which was very successful at the British Museum in London.

Equipped with exceptional special effects, the new work directed by Paul WS Anderson will tell a dramatic story against the backdrop of the tragic eruption that destroyed entire Roman colonies on the slopes of Vesuvius.

The plot follows a bit the story already seen of the slave who falls in love with the rich woman already promised to another man. In fact, he will narrate of Milo, played by Kit Harington, a former gladiator turned into a slave, who will lose his head for the young daughter of his master, Cassia. But her fate has already been written: she must marry a rich and corrupt Roman senator.

For Milo, things will change when, after his transfer to Naples to serve another master, he will decide to return to Pompeii when the Vesuvius will unleash its full power. Between lapilli, flames and fire, his purpose will be to save his beloved and to bring to safety even his best friend, remained trapped in an amphitheater.

A spectacular film, therefore, which will focus on the smallest details of the eruption and collapse of Pompeii and which will also be possible to see in 3D, so as to feel fully part of such a dramatic and frightening event.
