A wonderful news for the city of Naples, or today 6 May 2022 will arrive there Special Olympics torch.
In particular, the chosen place will be Piazza Municipio and to spread the news is the Municipality of Naples through a press release, published on the official website.
It will be a special moment of sharing, in the name of inclusive sport and accessible to all.
Torch Run 2022 in Naples
Recall that in Turin from 4 to 9 June 2022 i will take place Summer National Games, and it is precisely on the occasion of this event that Special Olympics organizes the Torch Run.
And so, the Olympic Torch, which started from Udine on March 18th, will stop in the various cities of Italy, including also in Naples, today May 6th.
The path of the Olympic Torch in Naples
If you want to attend this special event, here is the program and the route for today:
- 10 hours: 00 arrival of the Torch by sea from Sardinia and departure from the Circolo Savoia with a relay of 200 athletes, with and without disabilities
- 11 hours: 00 about arrival in Piazza Municipio, lighting of the Olympic Brazier
The event will be attended by the Councilor for Sport and Equal Opportunities, Emanuela Ferrante and the Councilor for Social Policies Luca Trapanese.
Along their entire path, there will be several to accompany the Torchbearers Champions of the Territory. Once the event is over with the lighting of the Olympic Brazier, the Torch will head towards the next stage of its journey.
