For three months night visits, theater and multimedia itineraries to the archaeological excavations of Herculaneum

Until 13 September 2015 return to the night visits to excavations of Herculaneum, integrated by the theatrical performance "The Night of Pliny", Which will take us on a fascinating journey through the ancient city, between virtual reality, archeology and plays of light.

They will be able to also exceptionally visit the Suburban Baths, which preserve many testimonies of the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD and almost intact and characteristic environments of that era.

The guided tour, illuminated by the stars, will reconstruct the hours before the eruption through the Multimedia installations of Herculaneum mosaics and a break in the most particular houses, such as the Casa dello Scheletro, the Casa del Salone Nero up to the Terrace by Marco Nonio Balbo, beloved Roman patron.

To conclude the evening will be the monologue of love of the actor Iervolino, protagonist of "La Notte di Plinio", who will play the poet Pliny, witness of the tragic event. The scenography will be the access door to theapodyterium, petrified by lava.

The show is made by Scabec, in collaboration with the Special Archaeological Superintendence of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabia, as part of the project "Viaggio in Campania. In the footsteps of the Grand Tour "funded by the Campania Region Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

We also remember that until October it will be possible to visit in the evening both the excavations of Ercolano and the Pompeii excavations, to discover the casts and fossils of the inhabitants affected by the eruption of 79 AD
