Special news in the transport field thanks to a special collaboration between the Municipality of Naples, Cellnex Italy ed Anm, the Neapolitan Mobility Company. This is a new project that will revolutionize the metro travel experience.
In the past we have already communicated the news on thearrival of Wi-Fi in the Naples metro and the project seems to gradually take shape.
What does the new project foresee
It is a contract – concession which will allow the realization of a DAS infrastructure for repeating the mobile radio signal mobile phone inside the Line 1 subway in Naples.
The DAS, Distributed antenna system, will be present in all sixteen stations of the Line 1 metro, characterized by a network of optical repeaters, connected to a capillary distribution of antennas with minimal visual and electromagnetic impact, which will serve to broadcast the signals of the operators furniture.
In this way, travelers will be able to take advantage of a cell phone coverage, data and voice, absolutely stable, with high performance for Smartphones and tablets. The system will work even in the event of overcrowding.
