The mayor of Naples, Luigi De Magistris, announces to the citizens a wonderful news: starting from next summer and in particular from July 2021, the Duomo station of subway line 1 of Naples will finally open to travelers.
In fact, in these days the liberation of the construction site areas in Piazza Nicola Amore and a new traffic device is being launched. It will be another art station, one among the most beautiful ever made in the world.

After years of work, finally the station Duomo metro line 1 of Napoli it will start operating from July 2021. The delays in its completion were caused by the find, alone 8 meters of depth, of a Roman temple dedicated to Isolympic games, it is a temple of the first century AD
The temple it will also be visible outside the station itself and in the meantime the works will continue, even after opening to the public, for recover the extraordinary structure in its integrity.
The Duomo station it will be a very special place and its main feature will be a large transparent dome, made of corten steel and glass that will cover the entire station.
This will make the station a suggestive place in which gods will alternate games of lights that will change color following the natural light from sunrise and sunset, until night.
