La Naples metro line 1 will close early in the evenings of Thursday 11 August and Friday 12 August 2022, changing the times of the last races.
This will allow for important verification activities across the board, always to ensure correctness operation of the new train which will be put into service in September.
Here are the timetables of the last races:
- from Piscinola to Garibaldi: 20.28 hours;
- from Garibaldi to Piscinola: 20.54 hours.
The new metro line 1 train
As announced by the mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi, the new train will enter service in September since all the tests have been completed and it will finally be able to be put on line to improve the transport system.
It will be a much larger train than the current ones because it will hold up to 1200 Guests, will have air conditioning system, the ability to carry four wheelchairs for the disabled e will reduce waiting times arriving up to 5 minutes between races.
In view of this new entry, it was also increased the ticket price, not only of ANM but of the other Unico Campania bands.
