The mayor of the city of Naples, the first citizen Gaetano Manfredi, announces an important news regarding public transport in the city. Indeed, The National Security Agency, Anfisa, has issued the technical clearance for the commissioning of the first of the new trains on Line 1 of the underground. So finally the first of the 20 new trains of metro line 1 enters service that we have been waiting for for a long time.
In this way, public transport is improved, the project National Recovery and Resilience Plan, in fact, foresees an expense of 350 million euros for the new trains and 800 million euros for the fast connection between Naples and the Afragola station.
The tests and the safety of the new train
We recall how the testing procedure was interrupted in July 2021 due to an accident only to be resumed last February after a complex technical investigation launched by the Current Municipal Administration.
In fact, in recent months numerous tests have been carried out, all those required by law, and interventions on the infrastructure and on the signaling and control systems, precisely for ensure maximum safety for passengers.
Soon, therefore, the new train will be made available to citizens who will be able to travel on a new, safe and super-technological vehicle. The train is 100% safe and it will be followed, in the coming months, by the activation of the other new trains that will gradually enter service.
