MetroCampania NordEst

Traffic resumes on the MetroCampania NordEst line which was interrupted in recent days due to a "shortage of rolling stock"

The metropolitan line MetroCampania NordEst linking the city of Naples from Piscinola to Giugliano and Aversa, in these days has created many inconveniences to all travelers, because of the suspension of all train journeys.

MetroCampania NordEst is managed byEAV (Autonomous Body Volturno) who stated that the problems were caused by the lack of arrival of the spare parts of the convoys, which have made the routine maintenance procedures slip for a few days.

Chaos broke because the same train drivers rejected the rolling stock, judging "The convoys they had to drive are not suitable, a faculty that is granted to them by law", as stated by the EAV. That's why the trains have been stopped for days at the Piscinola station, generating nervousness and anger among travelers. A protest, that of the EAV staff, concerning the economic crisis that this transport company is going through causing continuous inconvenience to the entire citizenship but also to the workers themselves.

This morning the circulation on the Piscinola-Aversa line has returned to normal, with a train frequency of every 15 minutes.
