The closure of Garibaldi on the morning of October 17th
On the morning of October 17th, those who had planned to pass through Garibaldi station of Metro Line 1 had to review its plans. The station, in fact, has temporarily closed access to travelers on the platform.
This measure, adopted as a precaution, was necessary to better manage the turnout and guarantee everyone's safety, given the concomitance of the arrival of numerous trains.
The reopening and restoration of service
Fortunately, the situation did not last long. Starting at 09:30, the Garibaldi station reopened its doors and welcomed travelers again. The trains, meanwhile, they worked to reduce the accumulated delays and, even if there were still some small inconveniences, the service is returning to complete normality.
If you plan to use Line 1 in the next few hours, you can do so with peace of mind: the service is up and running again.
