May 18 and 19 early suspension on the Dante - Garibaldi section of metro line 1 due to works at the Municipio station
There are only a few hours left until the inauguration of the new metro station in Piazza Municipio in Naples, to be held tomorrow 16 May, the seventeenth stop of Line 1 of the subway which will soon become, with the opening of the entire square, one of the most evocative subway stations in the world, thanks to the many archaeological finds unearthed during the excavations.
Although the official inauguration ceremony will be held on May 16, the actual operation of the Municipio station is planned in the first week of June.
ANM in fact, announces that on the days of Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 May 2015, to allow the technical tests aimed at opening the service to passengers in the Municipio station, will be held la early suspension of the metropolitan operationano limited to the Dante - Garibaldi section.
Last travel times:
- from Piscinola for Garibaldi 20.34 hours
- from Garibaldi towards Piscinola at 21.04
Traffic on the route Piscinola - Dante and vice versa, on the other hand, it will not undergo variations.
For the occasion the Central Funicular (which closes at 22.00 for weekly maintenance on Monday and Tuesday) will exceptionally extend the opening hours with the last race of the 00.30 hours.
