A new initiative takes place in our city, that is, the original Naples Obliquea bike ride from the center to the most beautiful areas of the Phlegraean Fields for a total of 150km divided into 3 routes.
Launched by the APS Napoli Pedala, it is a urban cycle route which obviously focuses on sustainability.
In this way Naples will be the protagonist in its vertical dimension, through unique landscapes and breathtaking views, but at the same time thenatural element mixes with the anthropic one, created by man and during the walk we will also become aware of different socio-economic gaps that are present in some neighborhoods.
The event will be presented on Tuesday 19 July 2022 and that day we will know the exact date in which we will be able to pedal between the climbs and descents of our city with this very suggestive initiative.
The circular route in wonderful places
The Napoli Obliqua will unravel from the center of Naples to also involve the municipalities of the Phlegraean area, that is Pozzuoli, bacoli, Bedroom e Monte di Procida, after passing through the Bosco dei Camaldoli at 450 meters high, Wood of Capodimonte, Astroni and Monte Nuovo.
From Healthcare to Posillipo, passing through the Spanish quarters to the Campi Flegrei, as mentioned we will be able to get to know better the oblique dimension of Naples, between ups and downs, its particular morphology, its traditions and its history.
The presentation of the event: free participation and evening pedaling
Napoli Obliqua will be presented Tuesday 19th July at the Bicycle House located in the Galleria Principe di Napoli, in front of the National Archaeological Museum (Mann) and the meeting will be an opportunity for discuss with many local realities who deal with experiential tourism and who work on the territory.
There will also be several activities that will start with a seminar and a community workshop. The seminar will focus on the themes of experiential tourism and will see the participation of Luca Simeone, Director of the Napoli Bike Festival, Ewout Kieckens, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Italy, Emanuela Ferrante, Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Naples, Felice Casucci, Councilor for Tourism of the Campania Region, Fabrizio Canonico, Director of the State Natural Reserve of the Astroni, WWF OASI, Remo Minopoli President of the Mostra d'Oltremare, Fabio Borghese, Director of Creactivitas and Diego Dionoro, journalist TG3 Campania.
At the end of the seminar there will be a quick aperitif and then we will leave for one pedaling in the evening which will cover some of the itineraries that will be part of the Napoli Obliqua.
