Asia and the Municipality of Naples are committed to the strengthening of separate collection dell'umido in Naples and, in this regard, they decided to start with the dissemination of special containers in some neighborhoods that are further behind in this service.
It started from Fuorigrotta, where some have been placed bells and distributed thousands of kits to many families. The kit includes the bio-waste bin and information material on how to properly dispose of waste in the wet.
Bells have been installed for the separate collection of wet waste on the avenue Augustus and via Diocleziano and this will continue in the coming weeks also towards Bagnoli.
The start of this service in Fuorigrotta is currently in experimental way, but it should become definitive in the near future in order to improve the quality of separate waste collection
It is essential to transform the wet into energy
Especially in this period in which the energy crisis incumbent on us, with increasing costs, making the most of organic waste in our homes is very important. The mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi himself, addressing the population, declared that a fundamental contribution in the fight against the crisis can come fromThe circular economy:
Waste, even organic waste, if separated well, can be treated for become energy. But for this to be possible, we need your help. With a little more attention and a few small additional measures, we can improve the quality of our collection and achieve the goal we have set ourselves since our establishment: more hygiene, more decorum, greater autonomy and efficiency. Through the transparency of our actions we aim to build a climate of participation and collaboration.
Our household waste, in fact, can be transformed into fertilizers and in biogas.
The service will be extended to the entire Municipality
As mentioned, the service is currently being tested, but in the coming weeks it will be extended to all citizens of the XNUMXth Municipality, which in addition to the Fuorigrotta district also includes the Bagnoli district.
In Bagnoli, however, the wet fraction has already been differentiated for some years with the door-to-door service, so fortunately some good steps forward have already been made.
What waste should be thrown into the wet
Let's remember which are the waste that must be collected in the wet, at least the main ones:
- food waste, i.e. food preparation waste, whether vegetable or animal;
- expired foods, without the container;
- dirty handkerchiefs or paper napkins, but not soaked in cleaning or cosmetic products;
- remains of dry pet food;
- withered or dead flowers;
- cork;
- coffee grounds;
- tea filters;
- fruit and vegetable waste;
- small bones.
Of course the envelopes that we use for collection must be biodegradable.
