Il Natural gas consumption reduction plan has established new rules with regard to the time limits of operation of natural gas powered air conditioning systems. For the next winter season, limits will be applied regarding the maximum values of the temperatures of the heated rooms.
The goal is to save about 2,7 billion cubic meters of gas.
When to turn on the heaters
There will be changes and news regarding the ignition of the systems heating, Also in Campania. In fact, the period of operation for winter 2022-2023 will be shortened by 15 days, postponing the start date by eight days and bringing the year end date forward by seven.
The period of ignition of the plants will be reduced by one hour per day and only in the presence of particularly severe climatic conditions the municipal authorities will be able authorize the switching on of the systems gas-powered thermals outside the limits set, but always with a reduced daily duration.
Everyone will have to follow these rules, except buildings used as health centers, nursery schools and nurseries, swimming pools, saunas and similar and buildings used for industrial, craft and similar activities.
The dates of switching on of the heating in Campania
Precisely by virtue of these new rules, Italy will be divided into six climatic bands. Our region, the Campania, will be divided between zone C and zone D. In particular, the switch-on dates and times will be as follows:
- In zone C the heaters can be switched on for 9 hours, from 22 November to 23 March 2023.
- In zone D the heaters can be turned on for 11 hours, from 8 November to 7 April 2023.
