With the 2018 asparagus festival in San Pietro Irpino, in the province of Avellino, many tasting stands, music, wine and surprises!
The 2 and 3 2018 June the town of San Pietro Irpino, in the province of Avellino, will host the Wild asparagus festival.
Now in its 24th edition, as well as being an opportunity to raise awareness and enhance this territorial agricultural product, with which many good recipes can be prepared, it will be a moment dedicated to beneficence.
In fact, the proceeds from the event will be donated by the Agorà Association in collaboration with Pro Loco Planca and Centro Aiuti per l'Etiopia.
The festival will propose some exquisite tasting menus in which the main ingredient will be the wild asparagus harvested in the nearby hills. A vegetable with a unique flavor and aromatic delicacy that will conquer even the most demanding palates.
The dishes of the festival
The main dishes are i fresh fusilli with asparagus and bacon, Asparagus Omelette, local pecorino cheese with wine and bread and cake. The price of this menu will be € .10,00. There will also be other stands where you can taste it sausage with side dishes, Greco di Tufo wine and craft beer.
Sunday lunch will be preceded by Holy Mass.
