From Friday 16 to Sunday 18 June 2023 in the churchyard of the Church of Santa Maria dei Campi di Giovi, a hilly fraction of Salerno, the eagerly awaited appointment with the Festival of Catanazzo.
It is an event that has now come to its end thirty-first edition which is always awaited with trepidation both by the citizens themselves and by those coming from neighboring municipalities.
It will be three days to discover the catanazzo and typical and traditional flavors, as well as lots of fun and music.
What is Catanazzo?
Il Catanazzo it is a traditional dish of the poor cuisine of Salerno. In particular, it is about Tripe with peas, cherry tomatoes and herbs, all accompanied by homemade bread.
During the three evenings, in addition to Catanazzo, guests will be able to find pasta, baked beans, pizza, sandwiches, spleen and also typical desserts. The stands set up for the occasion will open from 20:30.
Music and lots of fun on the program
Not only food but also entertainment at the Catanazzo Festival in Salerno, in fact during the three evenings there are live musical performances, in particular:
