Local gastronomy and entertainment at the 2018 Red Sausage Festival in Castelpoto (BN)!
From the 20 25 2018 April Will be held at Castelpoto, in the province of Benevento, the Festival of red sausage.
The red sausage is one of the typical products of the area and is made with the traditional ancient recipe, without preservatives and with meat from pigs reared on site. To the hand-made pork mixture, it comes added the sweet pepper and the spicy pepper of the area, which gives the sausage its characteristic red color.
The meat is finally dried only with the fireplace. A culinary masterpiece that you can not taste.
During the event there will be lots of music, shows and various stands where to taste in addition to red sausages, other specialties such as cicatielli, typical products of Beneventan gastronomy and a local wine.
