The Sagra del Mascuotto 2018 in Bracigliano returns with its thirteenth edition to promote local traditions with an event dedicated to taste
From 27 to 31 July 2018 to Bracigliano the 13th edition of the Sagra del Mascuotto, a very important event for the town in the province of Salerno that sees a strong local participation, including neighboring municipalities, for the promotion and revival of old culinary productions and not only: as in the past years are in fact also provided musical performances.
The Mascuotto
For those who do not know, the mascot is a tasty wheat bread, toasted according to an ancient recipe handed down by master bakers from Bracigliana and can be seasoned with olive oil, sliced, vegetables or boiled beans, it will be the imagination of local cooks to make the dish even more enjoyable. The festival will also serve more elaborate dishes such as fusilli, pasta and beans, the inevitable sandwich with sausage and fried zeppola at the moment.
The streets of the small village will then be invaded by stands where you can taste this dish with popular recipes and in all the variations present in the territory. At the festival will not miss too much beneficence: the proceeds of the festival, as every year, will be donated entirely to the works of the Parish of Saints Nazario and Celso.
