Air strike on 8 September, reasons and flights suspended

When does the strike start and when does it end?
It is best not to rely on air schedules for Friday 8 September 2023. This is the date when the Italian skies will enter a sort of working turbulence zone.
But the good news is that the protest will only last for 24 hours. Therefore, in case you have return plans scheduled for the same day, the inconvenience should be limited.
The reasons for the strike
The real propellant of this protest action is discontent which has been going on for six years now.

It's not just about wages or working conditions, but it's the expression of frustration accumulated over time.
Flights canceled and those guaranteed by ITA
ITA Airways is taking steps to contain the chaos: 30 domestic flights will be cancelled.
The airline expects that more than half of the travelers will still be able to leave. For those who find themselves among the less fortunate, there is the possibility of request a refund or change the ticket until the September 13.
But the news that breathes a sigh of relief is that there will be “trip-saving” time slots: from 7 am to 10 pm in the morning and from 18 am to 21 pm of the evening.
Furthermore, all flights to and from the islands will be guaranteed.
