Totò that father! it's a real one journey into the life of the poet, artist and man Antonio de Curtis, fifty years after his death, paying homage to him through his words, writings, songs, poems but above all the memories, memories and anecdotes of his daughter Liliana. A show that represents an intense and emotional artistic contribution to one of the most significant artistic personalities of Neapolitan history and culture but also of the whole of Italy.
The director Roberto Giordano In fact, he declared: "The show dedicated to him, aims to honor, with a historical review, in the form of a theatrical performance, the life and career of a single artist, who made generations of Italians laugh, first in theater, then at the cinema and finally on television ".
On the "private" stage of an apartment of Eboli, in the province of Salerno, then, will be staged a complete representation, analyzed from every point of view, the multifaceted artist Totò. The two actors will play a husband and a wife that, through their little squabbles and couples, they will tell a cross-section of the artistic and personal life of the famous Prince of Laughter: the first debuts and the first specs, his relationship with women and his morbid jealousy, his unpublished songs.
But the most human and poetic side of Totò will emerge, in particular, through the eyes of his daughter Liliana: "The only ones, I think, who knew how to look beyond the curtain that hid his soul".
