The San Giacomo exit in Piazza Municipio of the 1 metro line of Naples finally open to the public!
Further progress is made in the work related to metro 1 line of Naples, in fact the 21 July 2017 was open the San Giacomo exit of the station Piazza Municipio.
The exit, which is located at the intersection with via Leoncavallo, was inaugurated by the Minister of Transport Graziano Delrio in the presence of the mayor Luigi De Magistris, the president of the Campania regional council Vincenzo De Luca, the councilor for infrastructures Mario Calabrese and by the president of the Naples Metro Ennio Cascetta.
Interchange with metro line 6
A big step forward also involved thedemolition of the wall which separated the interchange tunnel with the metro line 6. This means that as early as next year the San Pasquale and Morelli stations of the 6 line, while those of Chiaia and Municipio of the same line will open in the 2019.
So, from the summer of 2017, whoever wants to go to the Maschio Angioino, of Royal Palace and of the same Piazza Municipio can also take advantage of this new exit, being in the upper part of the square, near Palazzo San Giacomo.
