The famous initiative of the Municipality of Naples entitled "See Naples and then eat“. At the center of the event we have the traditional Neapolitan food, especially what represents and accompanies the Easter period.

It starts from March 28th until May 1st with well- 14 appointments which will all have free entry. In addition to tasting local dishes (from Margherita to Genoese pizza), participants will also be able to discover iconic places in Naples.

The gastronomic excellence of the city

See Naples and then eat is proposed as a celebration of Neapolitan culinary culture through a series offree events which showcase Neapolitan gastronomy.

We go from sweet to savory until carrying out a real exploration of the recipes that have made the history of Naples. Between tastings, show cooking and meetings with experts. Among the places that will frame the events are the Regina Coeli Refectory and the Royal Botanical Garden, demonstrating how food is a vehicle for stories, traditions and encounters.

From March 28th to May 1st, Naples becomes the stage for an unprecedented culinary experience. The program is divided into 14 encounters, each dedicated to a symbolic dish of Neapolitan cuisine.

  • 28 March: Holy Thursday mussels – Regina Coeli Refectory, 11:00. Start with tradition and special guest Peppe Barra.
  • 29 March: Pizza margherita – Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, 11:00. Journey into the history of a gastronomic icon.
  • 30 March: Parmigiana – San Domenico Maggiore, 11:00. Depth of flavors in a classic of local cuisine.
  • 31 March: Casatiello sweet and salt – Lazzaretto Hall, 11:00. Tribute to the city's Easter symbol.
  • 1th April: pastiera – Monastery of Santa Maria in Gerusalemme, 11:00. Discovering the secrets of this Easter dessert.
  • 6th April: Fried donuts Di San Giuseppe – Royal Botanical Garden, 11:00. Sweetness and tradition in a single bite.
  • 7th April: Maritata soup – Royal Botanical Garden, 11:00. A dish that blends ingredients in a perfect union.
  • 20th April: Classic and vegetarian meatballs – Royal Botanical Garden, 11:00. Exploration of Neapolitan versatility.
  • 21th April: Genoese – Monastery of Santa Maria in Gerusalemme, 11:00. Time travel with a historical sauce.
  • 25th April: Cod under Vesuvius – Monastery of Santa Maria in Gerusalemme, 11:00 am That's Naples Live Show – Church of San Potito, 20pm. Music and tradition come together.
  • 26th April: Chocolate and coffee – San Domenico Maggiore, 11:00. Celebration of the pleasures of life.
  • 27th April: Baked pasta – Agnano Spa, 11:00. A classic to be rediscovered.
  • 28th April: Pasta with green peas – Agnano Spa, 11:00. Simplicity and taste in a spring dish.
  • 1st May: Neapolitan lasagna – Regina Coeli Refectory, 11:00. End on a high note with a rich and festive dish.
