Incoming price increases of bus tickets, metro line 1 and ANM funiculars and blue stripes in Naples.
Following long days of agitation of ANM, with the buses stopped in the depots, and negotiations with the Municipality, the council of Palazzo San Giacomo approved the resolution that takes note of the strategic plan for the stable rehabilitation and relaunch of the ANM drawn up by the Sole Administrator. This is the project for the recapitalization of the company, as reported by Il Mattino. They are expected increases of bus tickets, metro and funiculars and a sting on the blue stripes.
To save the company from bankruptcy, the transfer of properties for a value of 65 million euros will be given: the Brin car park and the Stella Polare and Posillipo deposits are also included and the Ministry of Economy has also given the green light. Above all it will come increased the ticket for the single ANM race. Not only that, because the maneuver is also foreseenincrease of the annual coupon for the blue stripes for residents.
Increase of ANM tickets
In detail, the tickets of the single journey ANM, valid for the bus numbers, subway line 1 and funiculars, they will pass from the current figure of 1 euro to 1,10 euro up to December 2017 (it has not yet been communicated from which day exactly). But the increase will not end there, in fact there will be gradual changes for two years: in 2018 it will arrive at 1,20 euro e in the 2019 to 1,30 euro. The increase in tickets, however, will be accompanied by concessions for those who buy the ticket with a text message or online or use the ANM app.
Blue stripes
As for the blue stripes, the increases will affect i residents' coupons. Prices will be changed significantly, passing from the current 10 euros per year up to a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 150 euros annual, depending on the Isee band. For low incomes, however, there will be no changes.
The other news of the plan
In the plan for the rescue of ANM 3 million euros are also provided for the extraordinary maintenance of the infrastructures (for example the subway stations), the employee result bonuses will be saved and the transfers of the annual fees will be maintained for the next 3 years . Furthermore, they should be purchased 12 new trains for metro line 1 by mid-2018 and the introduction of 70 new buses.
At the moment these are all the changes approved yesterday March 15, 2017 by Palazzo San Giacomo, but the city council will meet again at the end of the month to discuss the plan again, after which there will be the shareholders' meeting.
