Following the signing of the recent Pact for Naples, signed by Prime Minister Mario Draghi together with the mayor, Gaetano Manfredi, has been established for 2023 the increase of the boarding tax in Capodichino.

This obviously triggered the discontent of the different associations of the tourism sector, including Aicaf, which loudly they ask that the change not be implemented.

As, especially in a period in which, after the pandemic, we are trying to restart, and just when the Low Cost Companies have entered new routes in Naples, this would worsen the situation, with the possibility that some companies leave Capodichino airport.

This will obviously be a danno not only for Naples, but also for all the others tourist resorts of Campania, given that the tourist flows are mostly due to low cost flights.

How much will the tax increase

Currently, the amount of the embarkation tax in Capodichino is 6,50 €. Of which 5 euros are allocated to an INPS fund for the sector, while 1,50 euros are allocated to a fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

As is known, however, all municipalities have the possibility to decide to increase this tax and for the city of Naples, in 2023, this tax will reach 8,50 €, Then will increase by 2 euros.
