A new weekend has arrived and, if you are wondering how to spend it, follow our advice on free events in Naples. In weekend of 16, 17 and 18 September 2016 you can dedicate yourself to cultural, musical and entertainment events.
in Stations of the Art of subway line 1 you can take an interesting guided tour to discover the fascinating internal architecture.
At the National Library there is an interesting exhibition with original works by Leopardi, Dante and other important authors, while al Pomigliano Jazz Festival you can listen to Enzo Avitabile's music.
In the Caserta one circus in the open with many talented acrobats and artists who will entertain the whole family.
But there will also be events for the Festa di San Gennaro and you just have to find out all the details of the events below.
Cultural events
Leopardi and Dante at the National Bibilioteca
Only for a few days National Library of Naples will set up an exhibition dedicated to great authors of Italian literature, such as Leopardi, Dante and Ungaretti. There will be autographs, original works, valuable copies and other documents. For example, we will find the decamerone from Boccaccio, infinity and A Silvia by Leoaprdi and the Divine Comedy.

Tour in the Art Stations
The guided tours in the Naples Art Stations, organized by ANM, this time have been designed for the Feast of San Gennaro and include two itineraries. The first will be Saturday with the tour at Toledo and University stations.

Enzo Avitabile concert
After the spectacular concert on Vesuvius, Enzo Avitabile will perform in the Pomigliano Water Park for the Pomigliano Jazz and with him there will beNeapolitan Jazz Orchestra. Concert by Marco Zurzolo
Also in the context of Pomigliano Jazz, in the Palazzo Mediceo in Ottaviano there will be a free concert by the jazz player Marco Zurzolo. The saxophonist, who every year attracts hundreds of fans to the Festival, will perform with his musical quartet presenting the album Chiamate Napoli 081.

Atella Sound Circus
Two intense days of open-air circus with the enthralling performances of waders, wizards, clowns, eaters, musicians and many other artists. The musical moments will be fundamental with live performances by bands and singers of the emerging Italian music scene.

Feast of San Gennaro
Also this year the calendar of Imago Mundi was published, the series of religious festivals dedicated to the saints celebrated in our city. This weekend, waiting for the party of San Gennaro vit was proper, the Saint will be already celebrated with some events like the historical procession of the sandieratori to the Decumani and the show by Lina Sastri.
