Saturday August 27 2022 in Market Square there will be concert by Peppe Barra, the great Neapolitan theater actor and singer who for about 50 years has delighted us with his talent both in the theater and as a singer.

We recall that he was also part of the New Society of Popular Singing, founded in 1967 and which, over the years, have also included great names such as Eugenio Bennato, Carlo D'Angiò, Roberto De Simone and Giovanni Mauriello, who are also the founders.

Peppe Barra is an important interpreter of Neapolitan popular music and in the concert in Piazza Mercato he will give us further proof.

The concert is part of the program "You see Naples and then ... you come back”Supported by the Campania Region, promoted by the Department of Tourism and Productive Activities of the Municipality of Naples.

He will interpret traditional pieces, taken by authors such as Leonardo Vinci, Ferdinando Russo, EA Mario juxtaposed to more recent songs by artists such as Pino Daniele, Bob Marley, Enzo Gragnaniello. His new album will also be presented, "Powder and coffee“, With pieces written by contemporary authors including Gnut and Toto Toralbo and range from jazz, blues, tammurriate and ancient and modern sounds.
