This year takes place the 72nd Sanremo Festival and also our Naples and Campania in general they will be represented by talented artists who will compete with their own songs to win first place.
The departure date is Tuesday 1 February 2022 and the great evening final it will be Saturday February 5, a day when the trepidation will be even higher.
The Italian Song Festival this year does not provide for the division into two categories between Big and Young or New Proposals, so there will be aonly section with 25 artists who will compete in the 5 evenings of the Festival. Of these, 3 were selected from the Sanremo Giovani final which took place in December and therefore earned their participation in the main Festival.

Massimo Ranieri

Giovanni Truppi
He is a songwriter born in Naples on February 21, 1981 and has five albums and one EP released between 2010 and 2019. He won the MEI Critics Award even before the start of the Festival.
In 2019 he won the PIMI award as best independent artist and some of his songs have been the soundtrack in cinema films, on television and even in the theater.
It is his first time at the Sanremo Festival and he will participate with the song "Your father, my mother, Lucia". One of the authors of the song with Truppi is the leader of I Cani, Niccolò Contessa, and Pacifico also participated in the drafting. There song is about love on a music with a Neapolitan melody in which speech is also inserted. Instead, on February 4th he will do a duet with Vinicio Capossela in the evening of the covers with a song by Fabrizio De Andrè.
Last year he also released a book entitled "The adventure”(Which also gives the name to the last single) about his trip in a camper made to cross almost all the places mentioned by Pier Paolo Pasolini in his“ Lunga strada di sabbia ”.

Aka7ven is it pseudonym artist Luke Marzano di Vico Equense (NA). He is a boy born on 23 October 2000 and is one of the program's talents Maria DeFilippi "Friends".
