The colors of Lucio in Sorrento to remember Lucio Dalla with many events, music and shows

Il March 4th is the year of birth of the great artist Lucio Dalla and for this occasion the Municipality of Sorrento has decided to dedicate a long program of events to the Bolognese singer-songwriter, also recalling the great tribute he made both to Sorrento and to the tenor Caruso with one of his most beautiful songs. Let's talk about the song Caruso that Lucio Dalla wrote during a stay in Sorrento in the same hotel where Caruso himself rested.

March 1 also marks a sadder anniversary, namely that of the death of the artist who left us in 2012, therefore 10 years ago.

This program, called "The colors of Lucio“, It is therefore a wonderful initiative that begins close to two important dates.

Events will begin on March 4 and end on April 3, 2022.

Events throughout Sorrento

The initiative includes many events throughout the town with concerts, street artists, music transmitted along Corso Italia, walks, tours, but also sports tournaments between football e basket, turn in bike and in canoe, trekking and much more.

To remember the great Lucio there will also be his friends and colleagues of all time who will arrive in Sorrento and will pay tribute to the artist with songs and meetings. There will be Ron, Andrea Scanzi Marino Bartoletti, The Third Class among others.

The colors of Lucio

The initiative takes this name because a color will be associated with each of Lucio Dalla's passions:

• pink to literature;
• yellow to art;
• blue at the cinema and theater;
• green to sport;
• blue to the environment and the sea;
• solidarity with orange;
• red to music.

These days, street artist Jorit is also finishing his huge mural dedicated to Lucio Dalla and who is painting on wall of the Circumvesuviana station of Sorrento.

Another nice tribute to an artist who made us move, laugh and reflect.
