The colors of Lucio in Sorrento to remember Lucio Dalla with many events, music and shows

March 4th marks the birth year of the great artist Lucio Dalla , and to mark the occasion, the Municipality of Sorrento has decided to dedicate a long program of events to the Bolognese singer-songwriter, also commemorating the great tribute he paid both to Sorrento and to the tenor Caruso with one of his most beautiful songs. We're talking about the song "Caruso, " which Lucio Dalla wrote during a stay in Sorrento at the same hotel where Caruso himself rested.

March 1 also marks a sadder anniversary, namely that of the death of the artist who left us in 2012, therefore 10 years ago.

This program, called “ The Colors of Lucio ,” is a wonderful initiative that begins close to two important dates.

The events will start on March 4th and end on April 3rd, 2022.

Events throughout Sorrento

The initiative includes numerous events throughout the town, including concerts, street artists, music broadcast along Corso Italia, walks, tours , but also sports tournaments including football and basketball , bike and canoe rides , trekking and much more.

His lifelong friends and colleagues will also be there to remember the great Lucio, coming to Sorrento to pay homage to the artist with songs and talks. Ron , Andrea Scanzi, Marino Bartoletti , and La Terza Classe will be there , among others.

The colors of Lucio

The initiative takes this name because a color will be associated with each of Lucio Dalla's passions:

• pink to literature;
• yellow to art;
• blue at the cinema and theater;
• green to sport;
• blue to the environment and the sea;
• solidarity with orange;
• red to music.

These days, street artist Jorit is also finishing his enormous mural dedicated to Lucio Dalla , which he is painting on the wall of the Circumvesuviana station in Sorrento.

Another nice tribute to an artist who made us move, laugh and reflect.
