One year after the success oflast spectacular edition of the Luci d'Artista of Salerno, the city is preparing again to welcome an enormous flow of tourists for the preparation of the Christmas festivities of the 2014.
Il 7th Novemberin fact, the mayor of the city, De Luca, will cut the ribbon and present the new installations that will illuminate the days of Salerno and others. The institutions and workers are already at work and are engaging in lighting installations that will remain active until the end of January 2015.
The mayor said he was very proud of the success every year the city of Salerno collects thanks to this initiative and stated that numerous hotels and bed and breakfasts are already registering sold out for the Christmas period, in addition to the fact that many cruise ships have reconfirmed their docking for the weekend in the coming months.

Themes of the Luci d'Artista of Salerno 2014-2015
The illuminations of Salerno always represent a fantastic and magical journey through a alternative world made of lights and colors, which immerse the passer-by in a very suggestive atmosphere. These are real luminous works of art that branch out between the streets, squares and the promenade of the city, full of mythological and fairy-tale references.
For the 2014-2015 edition, after a long series of negotiations, it was decided to choose i themes of the Northern Lights and fairy tales.
The fantastic effect of the Northern Lights will be recreated through the installation of special panels and bands of color with the different shades of red, green and blue; the optical phenomenon of the earth's atmosphere will thus be artificially recreated.
The strong point of the edition, however, will be the characters of fairy tales, with particular attention to Peter Pan and Cinderella. The two characters so much love by children will take the form of large luminous statues that will be placed at the center of the two main squares of Salerno.
In the municipal villa, instead, will be placed figures that will portray the different characters of Disney, recreating a sort of enchanted garden
Furthermore, this year's novelty concerns the extension of the space in which the lights will be installed: even non-central streets will be decorated with Christmas lights.
Paths of the Artist's Lights in the city
Villa Comunale and Centro Storico: the Enchanted Garden and Fairy Tales
The streets of the city center and the space of the Villa Comunale are certainly the most magical and enchanting places where the lights come to life. Strolling you will be able to meet not only nice fairies and suggestive wizards with a magic wand, but you will be able to admire the strong point of the area: the Enchanted Gardens. Even bigger than last year's edition, with its bright and colorful floral compositions it will not fail to hypnotize its visitors.
Between the streets of the center, instead. there will be the illuminations of the most famous Disney fairy tales. Climb up on Cinderella's carriage and her tailor mice and engage in a duel with Captain Hook's pirates, while having fun with Peter Pan. Also, you can fly on the Aladdin magic carpet.
Largo Campo: the Winter Garden
Another splendid garden will be installed in Piazza Sedile del Campo, a frozen and bright winter garden. From the balconies of the square will drop splendid ice stalactites, in an area where everything will be covered with INFO and where two splendid willows dominate the area, also completely covered in glistening snow.
Corso Vittorio Emanuele: the Northern Lights
On the main road of Salerno you will always be with your nose up: the fantastic phenomenon of the skies of northern Europe will completely kidnap you and you will be immersed in the green of the Northern Lights. All its vin shades will lead you to a magical and dreamlike world.
Via Porto and Via Ligea: the Regatta
Salerno has always had a close relationship with its land and its sea, so much so that the first Maritime Republic, Amalfi, arose in these areas. In honor of its traditional link between these elements, a real Reacata has been installed between the streets of the port and adjacent, with the sound of unfurled sails and ships chasing each other in the waves.

A beautiful Christmas tree could not be missing, a symbol of the whole holiday period. And in Piazza Portanova it will be high, imposing and full of lights that attract the viewer.
Piazza Flavio Gioia: the Solar System
It is one of the elements that every year attracts visitors the most with the intertwining of the planets and the evocation of the mysteries of the Universe that we can only guess. With the Solar System of P.zza Flavio Gioia we can become navigators of the cosmos and float among the planets and satellites of deep space.

Christmas Markets
From November 27, the promenade and squares will also be enriched by the presence of numerous wooden Christmas stands. The idea is to want to recreate the atmosphere of the Tyrolean and Bolzano Christmas markets. The Christmas Market will be organized by the Turin association Buongiorno Italia, which also took care of it last year.
