There will be 60 fairs scheduled for Christmas 2016 in Naples with many events, markets, nativity scenes, Santa Claus villages and lights!
Il Christmas 2016 in Naples it promises to be full of events, shows, fairs and flea markets in every district of the city. On the website of the Municipality have been published several calls that describe the ways in which these events will be organized and will be approximately 60 Christmas fairs for all the holidays.
From Fuorigrotta to Chiaia up to Vomero, from Soccavo to Pianura and also arriving at the Old Town and the suburbs, the initiatives will be interesting and involving tutors and there will be news.
Among the most important, there will be the Christmas Village set up in Piazza Municipio, with dozens of stalls and toy shops for children, and the very high N'Albero on Lungomare. There will be, as every year, i Villages of Santa Claus.
But let's take a quick trip among the many Christmas events in Naples in the various districts to better understand what we are talking about. At the moment, we point out those already published on the Municipality website, which we will update over time.
Chiaia - Posillipo San Ferdinando
In the 1 Municipality which includes the districts of Chiaia, Posillipo and San Ferdinando, the Christmas fair is will start on 1 December and will end on 15 January 2017. It provides about 260 stations among the many stands, markets and events planned and can be found handicraft products, collectibles, antiques and products food.
Vomero
From December 3rd to January 8th, from 8 .30 to 22.00, in the central streets of Vomero there will be, as every year, stalls and Christmas markets. Specifically, the interesting streets will be Via Luca Giordano, Via E. Alvino, Via A. Kauffmann / Via P. Bertini (Parco Mascagna) and Via F. Solimena.
Fuorigrotta
In Fuorigrotta the stands will be set up in Piazzale Tecchio, Piazza Italia, Piazza Veniero and Largo Nostra Signora di Fatima from December 16 to January 15 from 8.30 to 22.00. There will be Christmas items, craft products created by local artisans, mistletoe, butcher's broom and holly, desserts, Christmas trees, musical instruments, books, works of sculpture and painting.
Soccavo - Plain
The markets will be present from December 3 to January 8 from 8.30 to 22.00 and, also in this case, they will sell Christmas, artistic, antiques, handicrafts and collectibles.
Decumani and San Gregorio Armeno
In the historic center of Naples, as every year, they will be set up dozens of stalls between the Decumano Inferiore, ie San Biagio dei Librai, and the area of the Cribs, San Gregorio Armeno for the Christmas fair. Citizens and tourists will flock to the area with a lot of curiosity to go in search of the objects of the Neapolitan Christmas tradition and to admire the cribs and the characters handmade by many local artisans.
Stella - San Carlo all'Arena
The event will start in the 3 Municipality 2016 Christmas Fairs from 20 November to 8 January from 8.30 to 22.00, with approx 70 stations in which Christmas objects, nativity scenes, crafts and antiques will be sold, among many things.
Piazza Garibaldi - Porta Capuana - Business Center
In the 5 Municipality several areas will be set up for the development of typically Christmas activities ed play activities, in the period between 2 December and 15 January. The area will be between Piazza Garibaldi (terminal part of the Piazzale, Corso Garibaldi side), Porta Capuana (area facing the passage inside the Wall) and the Centro Direzionale.
Avvocato Montecalvario - Pendino Market - Porto San Giuseppe
They will be about 350 places planned for the markets of this municipality for which the choice of items to be purchased will be very large.
San Lorenzo - Poggioreale
In this area the markets will be big enough and in any case it will be possible to buy many Christmas products.
Barra - Ponticelli - San Giovanni a Teduccio
Between 2 December and 15 January 2016, in Municipality 6, between viale Margherita in Ponticelli, Piazza Bisignano in Barra, piazza San Giovanni Battista in San Giovanni a Teduccio, the Christmas Fair will take place with about 50 stands and various locations in which they will sell handicraft and artistic products related to Christmas, gastronomic products of our tradition from local producers and objects related to the Nativity scene.
Secondigliano - San Pietro a Patierno - Scampia
Also in the Municipalities 7 and 8 stands will be set up with Christmas products and, precisely, in these areas:
- Secondigliano course, Capodichino direction, from civ. 373 to civ. 283
- Piazza Giovanni Guarino (San Pietro a Patierno) pedestrian area Via Aggello
- Piazza Madonna dell'Arco (Miano)
In Scampia they will be set up from 1 December to 15 January.
Christmas village in Piazza Municipio
The D2 Eventi agency has announced the construction of a Christmas Village, Christmas village, in Piazza Municipio from 4 to 11 December with 25 wooden houses, themed stands and stalls, as well as a minivillage of the Elves.
N'Albero on the waterfront
The big news this year will be the installation of a huge Christmas tree, high 30 meters, at the Rotonda Diaz. It will contain restaurants, barlifts will be open until midnight and will also host a shopping arcade. An event program will be planned live music, crib exhibitions, yoga classes, contortionists and much more.
Villages of Santa Claus in Naples
Among the most anticipated villages there is certainly the Gloria Village with its magical forest and the guided tour with the elves.

Illuminations
The commissioner Ciro Borriello has made it known that also this year will be turned on illuminations in the city and it will be simple installations, starting from San Gregorio Armeno. They will then be turned on in all the other districts.
