Thanks to the European Night of Museums 2017 also for the museum sites in Naples, the evening ticket will cost only 1 euro!
The awaited appointment with the European Museum Night which will also involve all the state museums of Naples and for this edition it will take place Saturday evening 20 May 2017.
This is the thirteenth edition of this interesting initiative that will allow everyone, from 20.00 to 24.00, to visit museums paying only 1 euro for the entrance ticket.
The initiative is carried out with the patronage of the Council of Europe, Unesco and ICOM. The price is purely symbolic and will give everyone the opportunity to learn more about our immense artistic and cultural heritage, whether visiting museums that are not yet known and learning new details of sites already visited in the past.
The event is part of the larger Festival of Museums.

National archeologic museum
Al Archaeological Museum of Naples an evening will be organized with wine tastings of two important Campania companies and a concert of excellent jazz music. Our article for details on Wine & the City at the National Archaeological Museum.

Mother Museum
Al Mother Museum you can visit the exhibits by Stephen Prina and Wade Guyton, two important artists of contemporary art.

Palazzo Zevallos
Al Palazzo Zevallos are in progress show on Andy Warhol and the exhibition on the painting The Musicians of Caravaggio.

In Certosa di San Martino the show "Pollecenella saved from oblivion" will take place.
Concert by Fulvio de Innocentiis and Angelo Vacca to remember the figure of Guglielmo Cottrau (Paris 1797- Naples 1847).

Castel Sant'Elmo
Al Castel Sant'Elmo will take place "The unspeakable imprisonment of a philosopher. Tommaso Campanella in the pit of Sant'Elmo".
In the ambulatories of Castel Sant'Elmo, the company Titania Teatro will recount the vicissitudes of the philosopher Tommaso Campanella.

Girolamini Complex
Al Girolamini Complex it will be possible to visit the Picture Gallery, the Oratory of the Assumption and the two cloisters.

Ruins of Pompeii
At the Ruins of Pompeii it will be possible to visit the Antiquarium where the visitor will be immersed in multimedia projections to discover the history of the Roman town, also through a reconstructive model. In the Sacra Pompeiana museum section dedicated to the places of worship of pre-Roman Pompeii there will be finds from urban sanctuaries. From Viale delle Ginestre you will go to the Quadriportico and to the theater district, where there will be night multimedia installations that will recreate fights between gladiators.

Excavations of Herculaneum, Oplntis and Boscoreale
In Excavations of Herculaneum a thematic itinerary will be set up on the relationship between the city and the sea and it will also be possible to admire the boat found in the ancient beach.

At the Excavations of Oplontis we will visit the Villa of Poppea, Nero's second wife, while atAntiquarium of Boscoreale it will be possible to consult the data bank of the Superintendency, focusing above all on the data of the house of the Orchard, theme of the exhibition “The house of the orchard, between painted gardens and royal gardens”.

MAV - Virtual Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum
Al MAV there will be free admission to the Auditorium with lectures by the underwater archaeologist Michele Stefanile, L'Orientale University: “Villas, ports and submerged cities” and “The Emperor's Murene”.
