There are, as always, cultural events with the Teatro San Carlo which will welcome the splendid ballet de The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky and the Teatro Bellini which will turn into an 'art brothel' with Autonomous Dignity of Prostitution
In Nola, waiting for the fateful midnight, there will be a Afternoon party with artists of high caliber, both comic and musical. The city of Naples, however, will welcome citizens and tourists with a traveling New Year's Eve between the mega concert by Max Gazzè, Avitabile, Clementino, the disco of the Lungomare and the fireworks at Castel dell'Ovo, all to wait for the new year together.

The Nutcracker
From 30 December 2015 to 3 January 2016, the San Carlo Theater of Naples will host the famous ballet of Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij, The Nutcracker. The work was created between 1891 and 1892, following indications from the libretto by Marius Petipa. The protagonist is Clara who, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, receives a soldier-shaped nutcracker as a gift. During her night, her fantasy takes hold and everything around her begins to come alive in a truly compelling story.

museums for free
The initiative is back #Domenicalmuseo, with museums, monuments, art galleries, gardens and parks all open for free every first Sunday of each month. Promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, the initiative aims to promote the artistic beauties of its territory. Among the Campania museums participating in the project are the Ruins of Pompeii, National archeologic museum, Palace of Caserta and many others.

Autonomous Dignity of Prostitution
Again, al Teatro Bellini, the show returns Autonomous Dignity of Prostitution, a show by Luciano Melchionna which aims to transform the Bellini Theater into a "house of art appointments". Nothing is taken for granted, everything is the protagonist, even the public who will 'lure' the actors with dollarini in hand. On New Year's Day, from 23.00 pm, the show will turn into a party of revelry and music to wait together for 2016.

Christmas at the Cloister
Until after the epiphany, the Monumental complex of Santa Chiara will organize a cultural review entitled "Christmas at the Cloister". It is a melting pot of art that develops between pictorial and photographic exhibitions, gospel concerts and choirs, art installations and the living nativity scene. In addition, the public can also visit the cloister and its splendid majolica.

Christmas at the Royal Palace of Caserta
A rich program of cultural events opens up to the Palace of Caserta, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays and for the new year. In addition to visits to the secret gardens and the Court Theater, visitors will be able to attend classical music concerts, participate in art exhibitions and photograph themselves next to the huge Christmas tree decorated at the entrance with Annurche apples.

Cantata of the shepherds circus version
Inspired by the Cantata Dei Pastori by Andrea Perrucci, the Unstable Theater of Naples (TIN), proposes, until the 10 January 2016, a Cantata Dei Pastori in circus version. The narrated story is presented through several theatrical genres, from drama to comedy, to the real circus codes. The company is made up of 19 elements that will perform in dances, acrobatics and songs.

Concert by Max Gazzè and Enzo Avitabile
Could not miss the New Year 2016 in Naples. This year, for New Year's Eve, the guests chosen by the Municipality of Naples are many. Piazza Plebiscito will see Enzo Avitabile and the Bottari together with Max Gazzè, Clementino, Nello Daniele and many others. The waterfront, once again this year, will see the open-air disco. Finally, at the Castel dell'Ovo you can admire the fireworks display of fireworks. On social networks, the chosen hashtag is #NapoliGrandeSpettacolo.

New Year's Concert
La New Scarlatti Orchestra also this year will pay homage to the public with the New Year's Concert at the Mostra d'Oltremare. Among the artists presented there are Rossini, Donizetti, Strauss, Verdi and many others with a particular tribute to Pino Danieleas I remember a year after his death. Christmas songs from the world
A Christmas appointment not to be missed that organized at the Church of Sant'Aniello a Caponapoli. It is a concert in the context of international Christmas music that passes from Irish to Anglo-Saxon, Portuguese and Neapolitan music. The initiative is part of the project NAPOLIDORAINPOI, strongly desired by Gabriella Rinaldi, singer and author, to support the 3 main points of Naples: food, art and music.

Circus Lidia Togni
After two years of absence from the scene, the Circus Lidia Togni returns to Naples with many news and surprises. Afternoon party in Nola

5 glasses of wine
Until 3 January 2016, al Bread the event will take place 5 glasses of wine, which is part of the Christmas initiatives in Naples. It is a wine tasting itinerary, produced by the Colli Frigentini company, all accompanied by finger food. Exhibition of cribs
One of the most important traditions of the city of Naples is the nativity scene. On the occasion of the Christmas holidays, the Italian Association of Friends of the Nativity has organized the Presepiale Art Exhibition at the National Monumental Complex of San Severo al Pendino, a via Duomo. All the Neapolitan masters of the art of the nativity scene have the opportunity to exhibit their handcrafted creations. Moreover, all together they created a monumental crib of about 20 square meters.

Travel by vintage train to Pietrarsa
For the whole Christmas period, the Railway Museum of Pietrarsa will open in a completely extraordinary way to showcase the historic locomotives of the Museum. It will also be possible to take a trip on a real vintage train inside the Mediterranean Gardens in a green space renovated and completely transformed into a sort of botanical garden.

Cavacon
Already in its sixth edition, the Cavacon comics fair will take place at the Mediateca Marte Eventi in Cava de 'Tirreni. Ice nativity in Ischia
Also this year the largest ice nativity scene in Italy was set up at the Aragonese Castle of Ischia Ponte. Until the day of the Epiphany it will be possible to visit the nativity scene created by Amelio Mazzella and his nephew Mimmo. Also inside the crib will be reproduced the submerged archaeological finds of Baia; the turbans of the Three Kings will be made of shells and the sea horses will be placed as substitutes for the camels

Gloria Christmas Village
The markets of the Christmas village Gloria, the largest Christmas village in Italy. A wooden entrance will welcome visitors, as if they were in a wooden fort. For the little ones there will be many rides and stalls with the Santa's house fully furnished. There will be craft stalls to customize their decorations in an original way and it will also be possible to visit the handmade creations of the finished cribs.
