What to do in Naples in the week from 3 to 6 July 2023, our advice
Here we are finally in the first week of July, by now fully immersed in the summer and in the many institutional events, that our fantastic city offers us every day.
While waiting for the longed-for weekend, we can recommend a number of appointments not to be missed from 3 to 6 July 2023 a Napoli with art, entertainment, exhibitions, concerts, cinema and tasty festivals.
Theater enthusiasts can indulge in the program of Teatro San Carlo, but also to the many events of the Campania Teatro Festival, while music lovers cannot miss the initiatives at former NATO base, Ravello Festival and Lemon Jazz Festival of Sorrento.
There will also be the free cinema in Villa Floridiana.

1Andy Warhol at the Casina Vanvitelliana in Bacoli, dates and times
The renowned Casina Vanvitelliana of Bacoli, located in the province of Naples, is preparing to host the exceptional Pop World art exhibition. This distinguished exhibition, which pays tribute to the incomparable Andy Warhol and other pioneers of pop art, will be open from 9 June 2023 until 31 July.
2Teatro San Carlo, the program of the July Replicas
The beautiful Teatro San Carlo in Naples has presented a program full of events for this summer, including musical performances and ballet. If for some reason you were unable to purchase a ticket for your favorite show, a series of reruns in which you can participate are scheduled for the month of July 2023, which we list below.
3Van Gogh in Naples, immersive exhibition. When does it end?
The remarkable immersive exhibition dedicated to Vincent Van Gogh in Naples continues to arouse enthusiasm and interest, registering extraordinary success. With an area spanning more than one thousand square metres, the exhibition offers an exceptional combination of visual projections, sophisticated lighting and sound design, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in Van Gogh's works, all while enjoying the comfort of a deckchair. Thanks to its warm welcome, the exhibition has been extended until 29 October 2023.
4Picasso and Naples, the MANN exhibition with international works
From 5 April 2023 to 2 October 2023 (thanks to an extension), the exhibition "Picasso and the Ancient" will be presented at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. Curated by Clemente Marconi, the exhibition aims to highlight the important impact that classical art has had on the work of Pablo Picasso.
5Lobsters in Naples in Largo San Martino, creations by Philip Colbert
The artwork "The Lobster Empire" by Philip Colbert arrives at Vomero, exhibited in Largo San Martino from 21 April to 15 July 2023. The event is curated by Catherine Loewe, organized by Bam Eventi D'Arte and promoted by the The municipality of Naples.
6Summer events at the Ex NATO Base, full programme
Summer comes to life in Bagnoli's vast Parco San Laise, once known as Base Nato, which hosts a variety of events, theater performances and live concerts. Numerous renowned artists, such as Massimo Gallo, Marlene Kuntz, Gianni Fiorellino, Lina Sastri, Rosario Miraggio, Biagio Izzo, and many others, will enrich the large open stage.

7Campania Teatro Festival: the review with 93 events in one month
A new appointment with the Campania Teatro Festival is renewed for this year as well. In particular, the sixteenth edition of the event will take place from 9 June to 9 July 2023, it is the seventh directed by Ruggero Cappuccio.
8The Agorà San Sebastiano al Vesuvio review is back: scheduled films
The announcement of the return of “Agorà – San Sebastiano al Vesuvio II edition” marks the arrival of summer in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio. From 22 June to 3 September 2023, the Parco Urbano in via Panoramica will be the scene of a wide range of events, including films, concerts and theatrical performances.
9Carditello Festival 2023: concerts and shows in the splendid Reggia
The special appointment with the inaugural event of the Carditello Festival will take place on Saturday 1 July 2023, we are talking about the summer music festival that has been taking place on the Real Site of Carditello for years now. The event will open with a free show not to be missed.
10Lemon Jazz Festival in Sorrento, free concert program
The Lemonjazz Festival Sorrento 2023 welcomes music lovers from 1 to 9 July 2023 at Villa Fiorentino, in the heart of the city famous for its lemons. This music festival takes place in a picturesque setting and offers a series of concerts covering a range of musical styles. The shows start at 20:30 each evening, and admission is free subject to availability.

12Ravello Festival 2023: the concert program at Villa Rufolo
Seventy-first edition of Ravello Festival, the traditional and highly anticipated musical event that takes place every year in the summer. For this year the appointments go from 2 July to 30 August 2023. Once again it will be the wonderful Villa Rufolo on the Amalfi coast to welcome the rich program of this new edition.
13Campania Theater Festival: free cinema at Villa Floridiana
Unmissable appointment at Villa Floridiana in Naples with the cinema review entitled Il Cinema Giovane which will take place from 15 June to 4 July 2023. In particular, the review becomes part of the events organized for the Cinema section of the new edition of the Campania Theater Festival 2023.

14The Pennette all'Ogliarese Festival is back in Salerno
Among the hills of Salerno, in the picturesque hamlet of Ogliara, the period from 30 June to 3 July 2023 marks an important gastronomic event: the 15th Edition of the Ogliarese Pennette Festival. The event represents a long-awaited celebration of local tastes, offering an atmosphere of cheerfulness and conviviality to residents and visitors.
15Wild Boar Festival in Dugenta: specialties and entertainment
Also for this year the special appointment with the Boar Festival of Dugenta, a municipality in the province of Benevento, is renewed. The festival will take place from 2 June to 16 July 2023 every weekend, from Friday to Sunday.
16MercAntico in Benevento: antiques market and typical products
The historic center of San Lorenzello, located in the province of Benevento, is preparing to host a series of events of great value for the city: the MercAntico. An appointment that is repeated on Sunday of each end of the month.
17The Festival of Ancient Flavors returns to Pignataro Maggiore
Pignataro Maggiore, a town in the province of Caserta, is preparing for the rebirth of the traditional Festival of Ancient Flavors. This event, planned from 6 to 10 July 2023, focuses on the promotion of typical dishes but also on sharing the importance of solidarity.
18CantinArte in Vairano Patenora, between wine and street artists in Caserta
From 6 to 8 July 2023, the village of Vairano Patenora, located in the province of Caserta, will host CantinArte, an event that combines the love for local food and wine with the performance of street artists. The main objective of CantinArte is to enhance and rediscover the immaterial, monumental and cultural heritage of this community.
