Pozzuoli Folk Festival, open libraries, hot air balloons, concerts, festivals and much more among the free events of the weekend in Naples!
In weekend from 9 to 11 October 2015 many new appointments with the free events in Naples, ideal both for those who prefer to devote themselves to culture and to the discovery of our city and the region, and for those who want other types of entertainment.
On the weekend there will be the Day of the Orange Flags in which, thanks to the Italian Touring Club, you can visit enchanting villages in Campania. With Paper Sunday, however, libraries and historical archives, including the beautiful, will be open to the public Library of Girolamini.
Music lovers can participate in the Pozzuoli Folk Festival in the suggestive Rione Terra, where artists like Francesco Di Bella, or attend one of the many concerts of the Napoli Piano City. The San Carlo Theater Orchestra, on the other hand, will perform at the Duomo to celebrate San Gennaro again.
And it does not end here because there will be too many festivals, gathering of hot-air balloons and the inauguration of a mural. Discover all the free events in Naples for the weekend!

Day of the Orange Flags
In the villages of Morigerati, Sant'Agata de'Goti and Cerreto Sannita there will be guided tours, activities and historical routes organized by the Italian Touring Club. Sunday 11 events include:
Morigerati
- From 11: 00 to 15: 00: visits to the village and the Oasis Wwf
- 17 Hours: 00: historical route "Vi cuntu nu fattu. Admission to the oasis is free for Touring members while the guided tour costs 3,00 € per person
Sant'Agata de'Goti
- 10:30 or 16:00: guided visits to the main monuments and churches of the ancient Saticulan village. All guided tours are free
Cerreto Sannita
- 9: 45: breakfast in the charming cloister of Sant'Antonio
- 12 hours: 00: aperitif
- 9 hours: 30 and 15 hours: 30: guided tour of the city
- 10 hours: 00 and 15 hours: 30: guided tour for nature walks

Sunday of Paper
Also important this year state libraries ed historical archives will be open to the public for interesting guided tours. In Naples the Girolamini Library will also be open, for a truly unmissable event, despite some areas still being seized. The other open buildings will be there National Library , University Library.

Herculaneum exhibition, a story in time
At Palazzo Serra di Cassano, seat of theItalian Institute for Philosophical Studies, the 7 October was inaugurated an exhibition that tells the story of the most important moments of the discovery and rediscovery of Herculaneum, as part of the MAV on Tour project. Through important documents and illustrations and with the support of multimedia materials made available to the Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum, such as holograms and virtual reconstructions, it will be possible to discover the cultural vivacity of the Roman city and admire the papyri found in the Villa dei Papiri. The books are also made available by the National Library and the University Library of Naples.

Mushroom festival
The long appointment with the mushroom festival also continues this weekend with many good dishes and numerous activities. in addition to dishes based on mushrooms and other typical local products, you can participate in the climbing gym, to adventure excursions, but also to attend musical performances, street artists and turn between craft stands.

Hazelnut and chestnut festival
In Avella a tasty festival dedicated to hazelnut and chestnut, in which to taste exquisite dishes like linguine nuts and anchovies, the penne with porcini mushrooms, the rigatoni with wild boar sauce, the bean with cotechini, the sausage and broccoli sandwich, roasted chestnuts, nougat and lots of good wine or excellent beer. You can also visit the most beautiful places in the area, such as the Norman castle and the amphitheater, on board a small train.

Concert of the San Carlo Orchestra for San Gennaro
The celebrations for San Gennaro end with a concert by theSan Carlo Orchestra at Duomo in which the chorus of the Teatro San Carlo. We want, too, also remember Pasquale Cafaro, a great artist devoted to San Gennaro, three hundred years after his birth. The sopranos Rosanna Savoia and Marie Pierre Roy, the mezzo-soprano Adriana Di Paota and the tenor Blagoj Nacoski will perform.

Piano City Naples
Over the weekend the city will become a great stage in which they will perform dozens of pianists, both in important locations in Naples, such as the Monumental Complex of S. Paolo Maggiore which will be the main office, both in private homes. The grand inaugural event on October 9 includes the performance of 21 pianos in the portico of Piazza del Plebiscito.

Pozzuoli Folk Festival
An evening full of events all to live at Rione Terra of Pozzuoli. Between concerts, debates, tastings, exhibition stands we want to relaunch the area and everything will end with the live performances of Francesco Di Bella, Fofò Bruno, Dario Sansone dei Foja, Daniele Sepe and other artists.

Meeting of hot-air balloons in Paestum
Last weekend to admire the colorful hot air balloons that will fill the sky of Paestum. More than 30 from all over the world and, for the most audacious, even the possibility to fly with an expert.

Mural inaugurated by Ceres
The 10 October, al Merola Park of Ponticelli, will be inaugurated a new city murals, entitled "Whoever is well, nun s'o forget". The project is curated by Ceres, Inward and the Municipality of Naples. The aim is to contribute to the redevelopment of the neighborhood and there will be musical events including DJ sets, open lives and live shows by artists such as Breakstar, La Pankina Krew, Revash, Fabio Farti & Oluwng, Lucariello, Sangue Mostro, Jovine on The Riddim and Djuncino .
