A Napoli in weekend from 13 to 15 May 2016 you will be spoiled for choice because you will find anything you like to do or see here. The city is always ready to satisfy the tastes of its people.

Cultural events
Pompeii and Herculaneum at 2 euro
The night opening of the Pompeii excavations and of Herculaneum is part of a project promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism to enhance the environment. With an entrance ticket of only 2 euro in the Pompeii itinerary you can visit the Antiquarium reopened after 36 years, the Quadriportico and the Teatro Grande, where you will see multimedia projections and to Ercolano admire the marine exhibits and the ancient boat found on the beach.

Spring at the Gaiola
The Primavera alla Gaiola continues in the month of May, an event full of events, visits and concerts at the Park of Pausilypon and Submerged park of Gaiola
During the visits you can admire the coastal landscape emerged, the archaeological remains of the Roman era, the Villa di Publio Vedio Pollione and the remains of the theater. On May 14th “Pausilypon: story of a rediscovery” will be held, during which you can visit the Grotta di Seiano and the Archaeological Park of Pausilypon.

Universe of butterflies
All 'Botanical Garden the Universo delle Farfalle exhibition will be the right occasion to bring families together. You will discover the life cycle of butterflies in the various stages, you will admire specimens from all over the world, unique species with bright colors, caterpillars, chrysalises, live and dry butterflies from Africa, Australia and South America. For the little ones will be set up artistic workshops in which they will have the opportunity to paint gypsum butterflies to take home.

Naples the Gentile
From the 1 April every two weeks meetings are held to discover Naples from the privileged point of view that is precisely that of the Certosa di San Martino.
You will know the city from artistic, historical and urban point of view, through the streets, squares and palaces represented in the paintings of the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. Admire every aspect of the city, travel through the Gothic undergrounds with their riches and discover the relationship with the theater and the sea.

Guided tour of Vesuvius
Also this year starting from May 1st, every Sunday there will be a series of guided tours discovering the Monte Somma-Vesuvio complex to discover its history, traditions and curiosities. It will be possible to learn more about the last days of the eruption of 79 AD, learn about the popular traditions "'ra muntagna" and make aexcursion inside the Gran Cono. On May 15th there will be “The Vesuvius of the Bourbons and the Brigands” during which you can visit the lavas of the south-west side, the Sylva Mala and the Chapel of Santa Maria del Principio.

Evening visits Royal Palace of Caserta
In the month of May until the first of October there will be many evening openings to visit many cultural places in Campania. Also there Palace of Caserta has joined this initiative and every Saturday will remain open until 22: 30 to allow tourists to visit the eighteenth and nineteenth century apartments of the Reggia, the Terrae Motus collection and the permanent section on "Drawings & Models". The purpose is to respond to the needs of visitors who need to make visits only in the evening hours.

Show Myth and Nature
The exhibition Mito e Natura has arrived at the same time as the National archeologic museum and at the Amphitheater degli Ruins of Pompeii. Tourists will be able to admire the treasures of rare beauty that underline the relationship between the Greek, Magnogreci and Roman artists. In the Salone della Meridiana of the Museum of Naples will be exhibited approximately 180 works among which the slab coming from the "Tomba del Tuffatore", the "Blue Vase" amphorae, precious find, worked with the glass-cameo technique, painted vases, votive terracottas, statues, frescoes and luxury objects, such as silver and gold jewelery from different Italian and international museums.

Evening visits to the Solfatara
La Solfatara will be the protagonist of an evocative evening visit and will be reached with a special shuttle from Piazza Municipio!
Starting from the 9 April every Saturday will be held guided tours to the Solfatara volcano of Pozzuoli. The event, which takes the name of "Spring in Solfatara" will allow visitors to get to know the fumaroles, the mud pit, the ancient stoves, the mineral water well, the sites illuminated by magical plays of light and to reach the Solfatara volcano with a special shuttle that leaves from Piazza Municipio. And to make the evenings more pleasant you can savor the geothermal cuisine and drink a glass of White wine experiencing an extraordinary adventure.

James Senese in concert
On May 14, the Neapolitan artist James Senese, who is considered the one who made the history of music, will hold his concert at the Partenopeo Club to present his new album entitled 'O Sanghe. The singer made a record in which he enclosed all the influences that have characterized his art: funk, blues and jazz. In the lyrics of his songs, Senese tells stories of life, struggle, love, work, faith and makes sure that his words and his music reach the heart of those who listen to them. He will also be on stage with him Clumsy, a Neapolitan singer-songwriter who has been much noticed in the last 2 years.

Three Gulfs Regatta
The 13 may start at 23: 55 from Naples the 62th edition of the 2016 Three Gulfs Regatta that will touch six islands, Ischia, Ventotene, Ponza, Procida, Li Galli and Capri, as well as three Gulfs which are those of Naples, Gaeta and Salerno. It's about a regatta in the southern Tyrrhenian Sea, long 170 miles which will be part of the 2016 Offshore Championship. The choice to start the regatta in the middle of the night was made to make the race more suggestive, this year in addition to the classic challenge there will also be a separate category composed of boats with only two crew members that compete for the "Tre Golfi per Due".

Naples Fashion Design
At Napoli Moda Design approx one hundred brands including exhibitors and locations will participate in the first edition that will take place from 3 to 23 May 2016, in several events. The Chiaia district it was chosen to host the great exhibition curated by the architect Maurizio Martiniello. The aim is to create an urban path that enhances this year's theme, "Luxury Ideas”Through exhibitions and installations in the showrooms of the area. The initiative will intertwine with the event ”Wine & the City, the festival that celebrates wine.

Wine & the City
From 6 May the city welcomes Wine & the City, an eno-gastronomic event that celebrates Italian wine. This year's slogan is “Cultivate Creative Inebriation”. A party they will take part in over 70 wineries from all over Italy, with the presentation of more than 100 wines to be tasted in 100 different locations including art ateliers, gardens, private homes, historic buildings and restaurants. During the event there will be many shows, readings and visits to places in the Neapolitan city that are usually closed to the public or difficult to access, including the islet of Nisida. The initiative will intertwine with the “Napoli Moda Design” event to be held in the Chiaia district.
