Anish Kapoor

In the white spaces of the former gallery of Lucio Amelio and now directed by Eduard Cicelyn and dedicated to contemporary art, they are exhibited 10 works by the British sculptor and architect Anish Kapoor. 4 drawings and 6 sculptures suspended between immaterial and immaterial, hard and soft, solid and fluid, light and darkness, weight and lightness.

"The sculptures of Anish Kapoor seem to be material constructions with transcendental ends. But they are not. They come perhaps from remote stories and hidden meanings. But then they do not tell anything. More often they are manifested as presences that flow from nothing almost by natural impulse, in simple, prelinguistic forms, in some cases only sketchy and not yet mentioned. Sometimes they resemble plants, flowers, fruits, as if they were self-generating, flowing in the eye with a cyclic rhythm and a simple and orderly measure ".

When: up to 15 October 2016
Where: Casamadre Gallery, Piazza dei Martiri 58, Naples
Hours: Monday to Saturday from 10.30 to 13.30; from 16.30 to 20, Sunday closed
