Travel by vintage train to Pietrarsa
During the Christmas holidays, the Railway Museum of Pietrarsa will open to the public, in an extraordinary way. It will be a real journey in a locomotive that will start from Naples on board an E626 historic electric locomotive and it will arrive in Piertrarsa, crossing the Mediterranean Gardens, a sort of renovated botanical garden overlooking the Gulf of Naples. In addition, you can also visit the train museum.

The abusive prince
Siani's film "The abusive prince”Becomes a theatrical show. Until January 3, 2016, the show will be repeated at Augusteo Theater of Naples. Also on stage the protagonists, as in the film, will be Christian De Sica e Alessandro Siani, respectively a chamberlain and a crude Neapolitan who will clash with the difficulties between the different social classes.

Musical Romeo and Juliet
One of the most beautiful and tragic love stories ever written: the Musical Romeo and Juliet - Love and Change the World arrives at the Palapartenope Theater in Naples, on the occasion of Christmas. Based on the tragedy of William Shakespeare, the story is about the love between two young lovers belonging to two families in constant conflict with each other. Modern and original, with 3D effects, the musical is composed of music by Gérard Presgurvic.

Pictorial Paradise
Until the end of January 2016, at the Basilica of Santa Maria della Sanità, a show visit entitled "Pictorial Paradise". It is an itinerant journey into the basement of the Basilica, all in Baroque style. Spectators will be guided inside the catacombs of San Gaudioso, an ancient paleochristian cemetery built for Christian martyrs.

Guided tours to the Rione Terra
For all weekends, until mid-January 2016, the Rione Terra of Pozzuoli will open its archaeological area on a journey entitled "Between land and sea. At the origin of taste". It is a path in the undergrounds of ancient Puteoli and between the streets with the ancient commercial activities. Some buildings will be re-proposed with 3D effects, multimedia installations and virtual mapping.

Mandulinata 'and Christmas
At Convent of San Domenico Maggiore, beautiful historical center of Naples, the day of Santo Stefano will take place the Mandulinata 'and Christmas, a concert sponsored by the City of Naples. Directed by Maestro Pasqualino Gaudino, the concert will see the mandolin as the main protagonist, an instrument that does not need amplification. In addition, viewers can make personal requests by choosing between the songs of the Neapolitan tradition.

The Cantata dei Pastori
Also this year, at the Domus Ars, the Cantata dei Pastori in Naples, a musical show that tells the life of the Neapolitan Nativity. Each character has the story of him, each has some anecdote to tell and the goal is precisely to let the public know the details that many do not know and that, with modernity, risk getting lost. The music by Carlo Faiello and the show is a mix between tradition and innovation.

Circus Lidia Togni
After 2 years of absence from the scenes, the Circus Lidia Togni returns to Naples, until Valentine's Day. At Viale Giochi del Mediterraneo, in Fuorigrotta, will be set up the large tent where clown, trainers, animals, acrobats and jugglers they will entertain families and children in fantastic shows. Among the various news there will be the Circus Cavalry, or 30 purebred horses that will perform with many surprises. In addition, the Christmas Mass will take place under the tent with the Bishop of Pozzuoli.

Christmas village Gloria
For a Christmas totally immersed in its magic you have to visit the Gloria Village. It is the largest Christmas village in all of Italy, in Lago Patria, Giugliano. Open until the day of the Epiphany, the village is an immense space divided into thematic areas with a wooden entrance and reception stalls. Exhibition of cribs
At the National Monumental Complex of San Severo al Pendino, in via Duomo, the Italian Association of Friends of the Nativity has set up a Exhibition of Art Presepiale. There are about a hundred handmade and original nativity scenes on display and, moreover, all the Neapolitan nativity artists have created a monumental nativity scene of about 20 square meters. Days of the Dinosaur
In its second edition, the Show on Dinosaurs in Naples. At the Real Albergo dei Poveri, also this year a real artificial jungle has been set up with approx 30 specimens of dinosaurs in natural size, each with its own descriptive card. Already organized all over the world, the exhibition is divided into eight interactive areas through which visitors can get closer to science and history reliving in the Mesozoic period with noises and reconstructions of the time.

Christmas markets with Village of Pulcinella
Christmas is also celebrated in Acerra.
